Bio
Yasmin Santana is a Brazilian multidisciplinary theater and film actress, creative director, and designer based in New York City. She graduated with a BA in Performing Arts from CEFART - Artistic and Technological Training Center (Minas Gerais, Brazil) and a BA in Social Communications from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Yasmin has extensive experience in theater and film. Since 2015 she has worked as a company artist at 3LD Art and Technology Center developing new ways to incorporate digital technology in theater narratives for more than 200 productions. She is also Co-Founder of MôTif Productions - a non-profit that supports and creates art projects focusing on social justice and the environment.
She worked alongside the renowned Brazilian director Rita Clemente, acting in her productions. One of them, the award-winning show “O que você foi quando era criança?", written by Lourenço Mutarelli, who served in season in September 2014 at CCBB - Belo Horizonte and won the Copasa/Simparc Award in the categories of the best script, best director and best show of the year. She acts in the show "Delírio&Vertigem," also directed by Rita Clemente and written by Jô Bilac, designed in 15th Edition of Oficinão Galpão Cine Horto, fulfilling seasons in VAC (Summer Contemporary Art and Caixa Cultural Rio de Janeiro (2012/2013/2014).

Her latest acting credits in theater and film include OPA! By Group.BR, W.a.v.e by Isadora Varajão, Calidris by Peter Azen (Munich Film Festival), Inside the Wild Heart by Group.BR, Doomocracy by Creative Time, Pedro Reyes and Meghan Finn (Brazilian Press Awards - Nominated as Best Actress), and Clarice’s Hour 2019 (Brazilian Press Awards - Nominated as Best Actress) among others.
She is extremely proud to be representing Brazilian culture abroad.
